We moved to our new house not so long ago, and I’m loving that. It is an old house we renovated, and in order to stay in budget as well as to experiment, some of the work we did ourselves. One of the things we did was to install the parquet floor ourselves, and when I say “ourselves” I mean my husband and his dad. So while they were working hard on the flooring, I went to our old house to finish cleaning and to get them some coffee. Most of our stuff was already packed in boxes, including the cutlery, so I was opening and closing all the kitchen drawers to look for something I can use for stirring their coffee, and I found an old pack of chopsticks. I took the chopsticks, which is hardly used anymore since I moved fully to vegan cooking (other than vegan Sushi obviously), which worked great for stirring the coffee and it got me thinking about all the other kitchenware we have at home from the pre-vegan cooking times, and what other uses can they serve.

So I googled some, and got creative on some, and am proud to present here a guide to new usages for old non-vegan kitchenware:

Egg Slicer:

Use for slicing beautiful slices of strawberries, mushrooms, or tofu.

Skewers:

Use for roasting vegetables in BBQ events.

Grill Pan:

Use for veggie burgers, vegetable roasting, or portobello mushrooms (delish!).

Milk Frother:

Use for your vegan milk frothing. After testing numerous plant based vegan milks, I’ve found that soy milk produces the best froth. Read my plant based milk for your coffee recommendations here.
